MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202431006233 A) filed by Tata Steel Limited, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'systems and methods for determining real-time fragment distribution.'
Inventor(s) include A. K. Bhatnagar; Gedela V Satyanarayana; Chandan Kumar Lal Das; Mohit Chandrakant Jagdale; Abhishek Kumar Das; and Jose Martin Korath.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a system (200) and a method (500) for determining fragment distribution. The system includes a communication interface (210) and a processing circuitry (206). The communication interface receives one or more image frames (300) including raw materials. Further, the processing circuitry identifies a plurality of fragments (302) of the raw materials in the one or more image frames based on at least one artificial intelligence (AI) model (226). The processing circuitry determines a fragment size of each of the plurality of fragments identified in the one or more image frames based on implementing image processing techniques. Further, the processing circuitry computes a particle size distribution (PSD) metric based on aggregating the fragment size of the plurality of fragments in the one or more image frames."
