MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517046097 A) filed by Universal City Studios Llc, Universal City, U.S.A., on May 13, for 'systems and methods for projection mapping for amusement park attraction system.'

Inventor(s) include Goergen, Patrick John; Mall, Jr. Howard Bruce; Reiter, Paige Lynette; and Habiak, Gregory Paul.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An attraction system 10 includes a projector 12 configured to project imagery and a rotating assembly 22 including a mirror 26, wherein the rotating assembly 22 is positioned with respect to the projector 12 such that the imagery projected by the projector 12 deflects off the mirror 26 and onto a projection surface 14, and the rotating assembly 22 is configured to rotate the mirror 26 to adjust a positioning of the imagery deflected onto the projection surface 14 via the mirror 26."

The patent application was internationally filed on Nov. 15, 2023, under International application No.PCT/US2023/079839.
