MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024695 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'table tennis playing assistive device for symbrachydactyly.'
Inventor(s) include Krishna Muraree; and Dr. Gopal Arora.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A table tennis playing assistive device for Symbrachydactyly, comprising a cylindrical hollow body 1 developed to be accommodated over arm of a user, a motorized iris lid 2 configured with the body 1 to close for gripping the user's hand, a microphone 3 positioned on the body 1 for enabling the user to give voice commands, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 mounted on the body 1 for detecting direction of an incoming table tennis ball, a holographic projection unit 5 mounted on the body 1 for projecting holograms to guide the user, a plate 6 installed with the body 1 via an electromagnetic spring 7 to expand for hitting the ball with the plate 6 for playing the game with another person and plurality of LED (Light Emitting Diode) lights 8 installed on the body 1 to illuminate for allowing the user to comfortably sight the ball."
