MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544044289 A) filed by Oerlikon Textile Gmbh & Co. Kg, Remscheid, Germany, on May 7, for 'the utility model relates to an apparatus for melt spinning and cooling.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Present utility model relates to an apparatus for melt spinning and cooling, comprising a blower box and a plurality of spinnerets, the blower box being connected to a compressed air source and having a cooling cylinder inside the blower box which forms a plurality of inlet apertures on the top side thereof, respectively, the apparatus further comprising a connection joint, which is held in a pressure-tight manner with respect to the blower box and the spinning beam and has at least one exhaust gas opening for exhaust gas evacuation at passageway for each spinneret, the apparatus further comprising a suction hood having a suction opening connected to an suction device, the exhaust gas outlet and the suction opening being opposite and distanced from each other, space between the exhaust gas outlet and the suction opening being partially closed and having a gas inlet opening with an adjustable opening. Since coarse denier filaments and fine denier filaments are affected to a different extent by other airflows in addition to cooling airflow, especially for coarse denier filaments which are resistant to airflow interference, the suction airflow has a relatively weak negative effect, and the suction airflow onto the filament can be adjusted to achieve an auxiliary cooling effect while maintaining a negative impact as low as possible onto the filament."
