MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517084485 A) filed by Petmedix Ltd., Cambridge, U.K., on Sept. 5, for 'therapeutic molecules comprising variants of the extracellular domain of p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75ntr).'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to effective therapies for pain, inflammation and osteoarthritis, especially in companion animals, like dogs. The invention provides an isolated polypeptide comprising a variant p75 neurotrophin receptor (p75NTR) extracellular domain or a fusion protein containing the same or portions thereof, especially to an Fc domain. Nucleic acids encoding the proteins are also encompassed in the invention as well as methods of using the same."
The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 09, 2024, under International application No.PCT/GB2024/050364.
