MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517035161 A) filed by Interdigital Patent Holdings Inc., Wilmington, U.S.A., on April 10, for 'timing control for multi panel wtru transmission.'

Inventor(s) include Park Jonghyun; Haghighat Afshin; Watts Dylan; Lee Moon Il; Canonne Velasquez Loic; and Comsa Virgil.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may determine based on received configuration information that a cell is associated with a first transmit and receive point (TRP) and a second TRP. The first TRP may be associated with a first timing advance group (TAG). The second TRP may be associated with a second TAG. The first TAG may be a primary TAG. The WTRU may determine that a first time alignment timer (TAT) associated with the first TAG has expired. The WTRU may based on the determination that the first TAT has expired determine that a timing advance (TA) associated with the second TAG is to be used for a transmission to the cell. The WTRU may send in accordance with the TA associated with the second TAG the transmission to the cell."
