MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006213 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'toddler seating assistive device for bicycles.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ruchi Singla; Dr. Dinesh Arora; and Dr. Parveen Singla.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An toddler seating assistive device for bicycles comprises of a plate 1 associated with device developed to be positioned over a top tube of a bicycle, a microphone 2 is fabricated on plate 1 for enabling a user to give voice commands for securing plate 1 with top tube, a pair of C-shaped motorized clamps 3 configured at first portion of plate 1 for gripping top tube,an L-shaped seating platform 4 configured over plate 1 via a lifting-and-tilting arrangement 5 to accommodate toddler, camera 6 mounted on platform 4 for capturing multiple images of toddler, artificial intelligence protocol encrypted within microcontroller for detecting height of toddler, pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 7 configured with plate 1 to extend for allowing toddler to comfortably place foot over rectangular slab 8, motorized roller 9 installed on platform 4 for wrapping strap 10 to secure toddler with platform 4."
