MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414091001 A) filed by Guangdong Binli Sanitary Ware Co. Ltd., Chaozhou, China, on Nov. 22, 2024, for 'toilet bowl for preventing sewage overflow.'
Inventor(s) include Xie Zhenxian.
The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The disclosure relates to a toilet bowl for preventing sewage overflow. The toilet bowl body includes a rim, a funnel-shaped bowl cavity, and a sewage elbow pipe. The underside of the rim is provided with a flushing hole communicating with a water inlet passage. An overflow-prevention channel is provided outside the funnel-shaped bowl cavity. The overflow-prevention channel has a substantially sideways S-shaped passage such that the S-shaped passage forms a siphon structure of the overflow-prevention channel. An overflow inlet end of the overflow-prevention channel communicates with the cavity surface of the funnel-shaped bowl cavity, and an overflow outlet end of the overflow-prevention channel communicates with the outlet end of the sewage elbow pipe. The toilet bowl has the advantages of preventing overflow, isolating odors, and avoiding sediment accumulation on the cavity surface of the funnel-shaped bowl cavity."
