MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020665 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'trailer loading and unloading assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Rajesh Pandey; R. P. Agarwal; Sumika Jain; and Vijay Maheshwari.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A trailer loading and unloading assistive device comprises a telescopically operated frame 1 installed on a trailer portion of a vehicle, a magnetic slab 2 affixing with trailer portion to mount frame 1 on trailer portion, a touch interactive display panel 3 enabling a user to input details regarding an operation that user desires to perform, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 determines placement of objects in proximity to vehicle, to be loaded on trailer portions and synchronously microcontroller frame 1 for extending upto a pre-defined height, a motorized ball and socket joint 5 providing movement to frame 1 to position a hook 9 attached with frame 1 via a cable 7 in proximity to objects to attach hook 9 with objects, a weight sensor for detecting attachment of object with 9 hook, a motorized spool 6 wrapped with cable 7 that rotates to lift object."
