MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517035560 A) filed by Tau Medical Inc; and Tau Medical Inc., Busan, Republic of Korea, on April 11, for 'transcatheter device.'

Inventor(s) include Kim June Hong.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This transcatheter device comprises: a main shaft including a proximal portion an intermediate portion and a distal portion and having formed inside a first lumen for insertion of a guide wire a second lumen for insertion of a nitinol wire and a third lumen for insertion of an injection tube; a distal tail having the distal portion of the main shaft; and a spacer body mounted on the intermediate portion located between the distal portion and the proximal portion of the main shaft wherein the proximal portion of the main shaft includes a proximal segment and an intravascular anchor connected to the proximal segment and the spacer body includes: a mesh structure that is contractible or expandable and in a state in which no external force is applied thereto from the surroundings expands to have a predetermined shape; and a balloon that covers the mesh structure to maintain same in a sealed state and has a size adjustable according to the amount of a saline solution injected into the internal space thereof."
