MUMBAI, India, Dec. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311037607 A) filed by Schaeffler Technologies Ag & Co. Kg, Herzogenaurach, Germany, on May 31, 2023, for 'transmission assembly with a quick actuation unit.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure provides a transmission assembly (100) for a vehicle. The transmission assembly (100) may include an input shaft (102), an output shaft (104), and a one-way clutch (OWC) unit operably coupled to the driving gear (102-1) of the input shaft (102) and the output shaft (104). The OWC unit (108) may include a housing (110), a switch ring unit (114), a phasing sleeve (116), and a quick actuation unit (200). The switch ring unit (114) is concentrically positioned in the housing (110) and coupled to the output shaft (104) and adapted to selectively engage with the housing (110). The phasing sleeve (116) is installed on the inner surface and operably coupled to the switch ring unit (114). The quick actuation unit (200) is adapted to slide the phasing sleeve (116) to engage the switch ring unit (114) to the housing (110)."
