MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517043497 A) filed by Musashi Seimitsu Industry Co. Ltd., Aichi, Japan, on May 5, for 'transmission device.'

Inventor(s) include Butta, Naofumi; Kato, Nobuyasu; and Suzuki, Mutsumi.

The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided is a transmission device that can reduce the stirring resistance of a counter gear and a ring gear while suppressing increase in the size of a gear case. One aspect of the present disclosure is a transmission device that comprises a transmission mechanism and a gear case that houses the transmission mechanism. The transmission mechanism has an input gear, a counter gear, and a ring gear. The counter gear has a first gear and a second gear. The rotational axis of the counter gear is positioned above the rotational axis of the input gear and the rotational axis of the ring gear. The gear case has a catch tank that is arranged at a position that overlaps the input gear from above and a guide that sends oil thrown up by the ring gear to the catch tank. At least a portion of the guide overlaps the first gear as seen from the axial direction of the counter gear."

The patent application was internationally filed on Oct. 07, 2022, under International application No.PCT/JP2022/037702.
