MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017971 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'transmission gear shaft repairing device.'
Inventor(s) include Sunil Kumar Gaur.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A transmission gear shaft repairing device, comprising a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface, an AI-based imaging unit 2 for capturing multiple images of the platform 1, a robotic arm 3 for assisting in welding, a welding torch 4 for welding over broken/deformed portion of shaft for levelling the shaft's surface, an L-shaped extendable bar 6for assisting in smoothening levelled surface of the shaft, a grinding blade 5 for smoothening the levelled surface of the shaft, a motorized gripper 7for gripping a gear hob 8and the gear hob 8for carving sleeves on end of the shaft for mending the sleeves of the transmission gear shaft."
