MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024144 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'trash bag management device.'
Inventor(s) include Amandeep Kaur Saini; Divayanash Rathi; Rohit Markan; Anchit Jhamb; and Sweta Wadhwa.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A trash bag management device, comprising a pair of rectangular platforms 1 via a telescopically operated rod 2 positioned with an empty trash bag to be filled with trash, a computing unit with a user-interface for enabling a user to give input commands for managing trash bag, an imaging unit 3 for detecting width of bag, a pair of motorized clippers 4 to grip free-end for widely opening mouth portion of bag for allowing user to discard trash in bag, an L-shaped telescopically operated pusher 5 to extend for compressing trash within bag, a level sensor configured with one of platforms 1 for detecting level of trash in bag and a motorized slider 6 configured between each of clippers 4 and platforms 1 for gradually translating clippers 4 to top portion of platforms 1 for unfolding mouth portion, thus allowing complete filling of trash bag."
