MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311088307 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 22, 2023, for 'tree stump cutting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Kanchan Kumar Singh.
The application for the patent was published on July 4, under issue no. 27/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A tree stump cutting device, comprising a body 1 configured with multiple motorized wheels 2 interconnected to each other via a chain drive arrangement, a touch interactive display panel 3 mapped on the body 1 to input commands regarding length up to which a tree stump to be cut, a L-shaped hydraulic rod 4 configured with a circular plate 5 equipped with multiple blades 6 installed on the body 1 to cut the tree stump, a scotch yoke arrangement 7 embedded between the rod 4 and plate 5 to provide rotational motion to the plate 5, an ultrasonic sensor installed on the body 1 for detecting height of the tree stump, an artificial intelligence image capturing unit 8 installed on the body 1 for capturing images of the tree stump, a laser sensor installed on the body 1 for measuring height of the cut stump."
