MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020775 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'turbine maintenance assistive system.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A turbine maintenance assistive system comprises a sensing module installed with casing of a turbine to continuously monitor parameters of the turbine, plurality of motorized wheels 2 move the body, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determines location of blades of the turbine, a color sensor monitor color of vanes of the blades, crack detection sensor determine presence of cracks over the vane(s), a thermite welding unit 4 perform welding of the detected cracks, an electronic sprayer 8 configured with a primary arm to spray coating, an ultrasonic sensor to monitor thickness of the vane(s), a motorized abrasive cutter 9 configured with the body via a secondary robotic arm 10 to cut the damaged vane, a robotic gripper 11 grip the cut vane, a laser sensor to determine dimension of the cut vane, and an arc welding unit 13 via a tertiary robotic arm 14 weld the new vane."
