MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023145 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'turf layer installation device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A turf layer 7 installation device, comprising a frame 1 installed with track wheels 2 developed to be maneuvered on a fixed surface, a touch interactive display panel 3 is accessed by a user for feeding a dimension corresponding to surface which needs to be installed with turf layer 7, a first chamber stores of mixture of sand and clay, a motorized iris operated allows dispensing of mixture on surface, a motorized roller 5 coiled with turf layer 7 via a pair of L-shaped extendable links 6 rotates in a first direction to uncoil layer 7 to be positioned on surface, an artificial intelligence enabled image capturing module 8 determines if sheet is properly laid on surface, a motorized cutter 9 cuts uncoiled sheet, and a nozzle 4 dispenses water on turf layer 7 to settle down layer 7 properly on surface, L-shaped extendable links 6."
