MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441032792 A) filed by Signify Holding B. V., Eindhoven, Netherlands, on April 25, 2024, for 'twin glow down light luminaire.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A downlight luminaire (500) includes a housing (502) and a light emitting diode (LED) printed circuit board (PCB) (506) disposed in the housing. The LED PCB includes a first set of LEDs (514) and a second set of LEDs (516) disposed in the periphery and centre of the LED PCB, respectively. The downlight luminaire (500) further includes a first diffuser (508) configured to allow light from the first set of LEDs (514) in peripheral direction. The downlight luminaire (500) includes a front ring (510) disposed on the LED PCB to create an optical barrier between the first set of LEDs (514) and the second set of LEDs (516). The downlight luminaire (500) further includes a second diffuser (512) disposed on the opening end of the housing and configured to allow light from the second set of LEDs (516)."
