MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517067372 A) filed by Lg Energy Solution, Ltd., Seoul, Republic of Korea, on July 15, for 'ultrasonic welding device and welded structure.'
Inventor(s) include Lee, Chang-Je; Shin, Seung-Min; and Kim, Min-Woo.
The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An ultrasonic welding device, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises a horn for pressing a first member to ultrasonically weld the first member to a second member, wherein the horn comprises a knurled part having a plurality of protrusions protruding toward the first member to create a concavo-convex shape on the first member, and the protrusions located in the outermost area of the knurled part and the protrusions located in the inner area thereof have different shapes."
