MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527079926 A) filed by Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on Aug. 22, for 'uplink codebook indication method and communication apparatus.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Embodiments of the present application provide an uplink codebook indication method and a communication apparatus, capable of enabling terminal devices having more transmitting antenna ports to perform uplink transmission, and applicable to a 5G system. The method comprises: a terminal device receives first information from a network device, and according to both first indication information in the first information and a first index value indicated by second indication information, determines an uplink precoding matrix used for precoding 2N antenna ports, so that the terminal device can enable, according to the uplink precoding matrix, the 2N antenna ports to perform uplink transmission, wherein N is a positive integer."
