MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517072589 A) filed by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co. Ltd., Beijing, on July 30, for 'uplink eight-antenna port codebook determination method and device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present application relates to the technical field of communications, and provides an uplink eight-antenna port codebook determination method and device. The method comprises: determining a candidate codeword set, the candidate codeword set comprising at least one two-antenna port codeword and/or at least one four-antenna port codeword; and according to at least one candidate codeword in the candidate codeword set, determining a first codeword matching the number of transmission layers of an uplink channel, the first codeword being a codeword in partially coherent transmission. A codeword in partially coherent transmission of high-dimensional uplink eight antenna ports can be constructed on the basis of a low-dimensional codeword, so that the uplink channel communication supports the partially coherent transmission of four port groups of the eight antenna ports, the uplink channel communication technology is further enhanced, the uplink channel transmission rate is effectively increased, and the communication efficiency is improved."
