MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547093610 A) filed by Vicat, L'Isle-d'Abeau, France, on Sept. 29, for 'use of a marl for preparing a pozzolanic material.'

Inventor(s) include Avet, Francois; Krour, Hichem; Chereau, Camille; and Delavernhe, Laure.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to the use of a marl, comprising: - more than 45% (w/w) calcite; and - at least 1% (w/w) kaolinite, for the preparation of a pozzolanic material by calcination of the marl at a temperature ranging from 400 C to 950 C."
