MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011293 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'user-based working assistive device for roofs.'

Inventor(s) include Pankaj Kumar Goswami; and Ashish Simalti.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A user-based working assistive device for roofs, comprising a trapezium shaped body 1 developed to be positioned by a user over a roof and installed with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 for capturing multiple surrounding images, a touch interactive display panel 3 installed on body 1 for displaying captured images that is accessed by user for selecting an area on roof where work is to be done, multiple suction-based castor wheels 4 attached underneath body 1 for maneuvering body 1 over roof at evaluated point, an ultrasonic sensor installed on body 1 for monitoring dimension of user's body 1 acquiring support from body 1, and a moisture sensor installed on body 1 for monitoring presence of water on roof."
