MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547096388 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Oct. 7, for 'user equipment (ue) communication resource prediction for determining uplink receive beams.'

Inventor(s) include Li, Qiaoyu; Luo, Tao; Taherzadeh Boroujeni, Mahmoud; and Challa, Raghu Narayan.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to enhanced signaling designs used to support beam prediction by a user equipment (UE) as part of determining a set of uplink receive beams to be used by a network entity to receive communications from the UE. A method includes receiving one or more signals communicated in a first set of communication resources associated with a first set of beams of a network entity and sending one or more identifiers of a second set of communication resources associated with a second set of beams of the network entity, wherein the second set of communication resources are predicted based on measuring the one or more signals, and wherein the one or more identifiers of the second set of communication resources are associated with a set of uplink receive beams of the network entity."

The patent application was internationally filed on June 08, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/099071.
