MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547094358 A) filed by Qualcomm Incorporated, San Diego, on Oct. 1, for 'using wide beam synchronization signal block (ssb) measurements to predict narrow beam ssbs.'
Inventor(s) include Li, Qiaoyu; Luo, Tao; and Taherzadeh Boroujeni, Mahmoud.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a synchronization signal block (SSB) burst that includes a first set of SSBs. The UE may perform measurements associated with the SSB burst. The UE may determine linkage information between the first set of SSBs and a second set of SSBs. The UE may determine a random access channel (RACH) configuration associated with the second set of SSBs. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the measurements, the linkage information and the RACH configuration, a predicted best SSB from the second set of SSBs and a random access channel (RACH) resource associated with the predicted best SSB. The UE may transmit a RACH message based at least in part on the predicted best SSB and the RACH resource. Numerous other aspects are described."
The patent application was internationally filed on June 08, 2023, under International application No.PCT/CN2023/099066.
