MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011165 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 10, for 'vegetables and fruits storage device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vegetables and fruits storage device, comprising a rectangular base 101 having a pair of rigid elongated rectangular flaps 102 configured plurality of hollow cuboidal storage chambers 103 mounted between the flaps 102 for enabling a user to put or remove vegetables or fruits, a telescopic gripper 104 mounted on the flap 102 for sorting of vegetables and fruits into respecting chambers 103, an imaging unit 105 installed on the flap 102 to determine vegetables and fruits in the chambers 103, a display 106 installed on the base 101 to display recipes involving the determined vegetables and fruits, a water tank 107 disposed in the chamber, a spray nozzle installed on the tank 107 for spraying water on the vegetables and fruits and plurality of motorized brushes 201 installed within the chambers 103 for scrubbing of the vegetables and fruits for removal of pesticides."
