MUMBAI, India, June 20 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311084007 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 8, 2023, for 'vehicle inspection and maintenance assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle inspection and maintenance assistive device, comprising a platform 1 installed with a vertical shaft 2 developed to be positioned on a ground surface in proximity to vehicles, a touch enabled screen 3 accessed by user for entering information regarding vehicle number plate 7 that is to be inspected, a rotatable camera 4 for detecting user-entered vehicle number plate 7, multiple wheels 5 for moving to position platform 1 in vehicle proximity, an extendable plate 7 attached with a pair of telescopic planks 8 attached on shaft 2 by means of guide rail 9 for inserting planks 8 beneath vehicle wheels to uplift vehicle, multiple hydraulic actuators 10 for uplifting vehicle to enable inspection of vehicle, a speaker 11 for notifying user regarding maintenance of detected leakage, an ultrasonic sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting dimension of tire treads, and an extendable L-shaped needle 12 for removing stone."
