MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202211013670 A) filed by Council Of Scientific And Industrial Research, New Delhi, on March 11, 2022, for 'vehicle mounted hydraulically operated foldable type retractable mobile protective shield.'
Inventor(s) include Ajay Yadav; Ashwani Kumar Kushwaha; Harish Hirani; and Avik Chatterjee.
The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to Vehicle Mounted Hydraulically operated foldable type Retractable Mobile Protective shield used for controlling of mob. During mob control activities the entire shield is brought down on the ground in vertical position ahead of the vehicle through hydraulically actuated cylinders. At the same time the barricading is having variable size adjustable to the width of the street in which the vehicle is moving. Different configuration of shied deployment around the base vehicle provides protection to the base vehicle and the security personals against mob ingress. Provision of wire mesh in the center of the shield is given so that the driver can visualize the situation in the front of the vehicle when the shields are completely deployed. Individual control of stabilizer arm on both side of the vehicle the complete load of shield frame and supporting structure can be transmitted to the ground and it can be held rigidly against mob pushing and riot vehicle towing."
