MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006193 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 30, 2024, for 'vehicle repairing assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rajdeep Singh; Dr. Rachin Goyal; Dr. Amresh Kumar; and Piyush Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicle repairing assistive device includes a platform 1 integrated with multiple wheels 2 for moving platform 1 on ground, a microphone 3 for receiving user's voice command regarding hoisting of a four-wheeler's roof, an imaging unit 4 to determine position and height of four-wheeler, two links 5 horizontally attached with platform 1 extends for positioning attached suction unit 11 onto chassis of vehicle for providing stability to platform 1, a bar 6 extend for getting positioned over four-wheeler's roof, a clamping unit 7 integrated on bar 6 via a hook 8 acquires grip over roof's edges, a chain drive arrangement 9 engaged in between bar 6 and hook 8 applies a pulling force for pulling off roof and positioning onto platform 1, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting structural defect on pulled roof and a speaker 10 for producing audio notification to notify user regarding presence of defect."
