MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517060297 A) filed by Webasto Se, Stockdorf, Germany, on June 24, for 'vehicle roof assembly comprising a pane with a light guide layer.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to a vehicle roof assembly comprising a pane body assembly (20) which has an exterior-side face facing the vehicle surroundings and an interior-side face facing the vehicle interior and which has a light guide layer, a light source (36), the light of which can be coupled into the light guide layer, and a shading assembly (14) that comprises at least one guide rail (18) for a shading element, wherein the guide rail (18) rests against the interior-side face of the pane body assembly (20) and delimits a receiving chamber (34) for the light source (38), said receiving chamber being delimited by the pane body assembly (20)."
