According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a vehicle seat that has high usability. The present invention comprises a seat cushion 12 that is positioned in front of a rear wheel house 111 of a vehicle and supports the buttocks and thighs of a passenger, a seat back 13 that supports the back of the passenger, a reclining mechanism 14 that tilts the seat back 13 relative to the seat cushion 12, and a raising/lowering mechanism 15 that can raise/lower the seat cushion 12 in the vertical direction relative to a vehicle floor surface. When the reclining mechanism 14 is changing the seat arrangement toward a fallen-back state in which the seat back 13 has fallen backward, the raising/lowering mechanism 15 raises the seat cushion 12 in the vertical direction in association with the tilting of the seat back 13 into the fallen-back state such that the seat back 13 is positioned above the rear wheel house 111 where there is no interference with the rear wheel house 111. The seat back 13 has an armrest on one side."
