MUMBAI, India, June 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202414079264 A) filed by Suzuki Motor Corporation, Shizuoka, Japan, on Oct. 18, 2024, for 'vehicular notification apparatus.'

Inventor(s) include Kasama, Keita; Yoshida, Syun; Uehara, Kuniya; and Kato, Yoshiyuki.

The application for the patent was published on June 6, under issue no. 23/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vehicular notification apparatus (1) determines whether a vehicle is in at least one predetermined state, and perform auditory notification for prompting a driver of the vehicle to recognize that the vehicle is in the at least one predetermined state. The predetermined states include a plurality of types of mandatory notification states and at least one non-mandatory notification state different from the mandatory notification states. The notification apparatus (1) notifies that the vehicle is in the plurality of types of mandatory notification states, by using signal sounds that are different for each of the plurality of types of mandatory notification states, and when the vehicle is in two or more types of the mandatory notification states (S105), performs notification indicating that the vehicle is in the mandatory notification states, while stopping notification indicating that the vehicle is in the non-mandatory notification state (S113)."
