According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A vent assembly (100/200) for a HVAC system (200) of a vehicle includes a defrost vent (102/202) for directing airflow from the HVAC system to a windshield, and a vent cover (104/204) adapted to move between a retracted position and an extended position. In the retracted position, the defrost vent (102/202) directs the airflow to the windshield for defrosting of the windshield. In the extended position, the vent cover (104/204) deflects the airflow from the defrost vent (102/202) towards a headrest portion of one or more passenger seats of the vehicle. The HVAC system (200) includes a pair of side demisters (208) coupled to a defrost duct by a pair of demister ducts of the defrost vent (102/202). A pair of barriers (302) in the demister ducts are moved to block airflow to the demisters (208) when the vent cover (104/204) is moved to the extended position."
