MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517034717 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy, Espoo, Finland, on April 9, for 'wake up signal based cell re selection.'

Inventor(s) include Tayyab Muhammad; and Gursu Halit Murat.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed is a method comprising receiving a wake up signal; comparing received power or received quality of the wake up signal to a threshold; and determining whether to perform a cell re selection procedure based at least on the comparison."
