MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017943 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'water bottle filling device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A water bottle filling device, comprises of a semicircular body 1 attached with a curve-shaped extendable plate 2 where the bottle that is to be filled with water is placed, a slot 3 for engaging with the faucet of the water jug, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 for capturing multiple images of the water bottle, a motorized C-shaped extendable clamp 5 for gripping the water bottle, a pair of L-shaped telescopically operated rods 6 for positioning a pair of suction cups 7 on the ground surface for preventing misbalancing of the water jug, a robotic arm 8 for opening or closing the faucet, a speaker 9 to notify the user to collect the bottle."
