MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020654 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'water consumption assistive device for bottles.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A water consumption assistive device for bottles comprises of a U-shaped body 1 constructed with multiple extendable plates 2, body 1 accommodated in proximity to mouth portion of bottle filled with water, a laser sensor detecting dimensions of body 1 for actuating plates 2 to extend/retract in synchronization with actuation of hinges 3 for tilting adjacent plates 2 towards/away from each other for gripping body 1 with bottle, a computing unit is accessed by a user for giving an amount of water to be consumed by user, a pair of pneumatic link 4, each equipped with a suction cup 5, extend for allowing user to support bottle by placing suction cups 5 on chin portion, a camera 6 detecting water level within bottle, based on which microcontroller actuates a motorized pivot joint 7 for tilting body 1 in a manner to allow flow of water out from bottle."
