MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005874 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 29, 2024, for 'water ditch crossing assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Neha Gupta; Rajni Verma; Anamol Gautam; and Ashwini K. Sharma.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A water ditch crossing assistive device, comprises of an extendable frame 1 is installed with a microphone 2 for enabling a user to give input commands for securing the frame 1 on a ground surface, a primary set of drilling units 3 configured at first portion of the frame 1 for drilling ground surface to secure the frame 1 over the ground surface, a camera mounted on the frame 1 for capturing multiple images of surroundings, a pair of motorized pivot joints 8 configured between each of the flaps 6 and frame 1 to tilt the flap, a set of motorized sliding units 7 configured with a set of flaps 6 installed with the frame 1 for translating the flaps 6, and a speaker 10 mounted on the frame 1 for notifying the individual(s) to cross the water ditch."
