MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020680 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'water diverting setup installation device.'

Inventor(s) include Mamta Bansal; Nidhi Tyagi; Varun Bansal; and Avinav Pathak.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An water diverting setup installation device, comprising a body 1 positioned on a ground surface, a computing unit is accessed by a concerned authority for providing input regarding locations where water diversion is required, a GPS module detect live location of body 1 and accordingly a route is determined, four motorized wheels 2 arranged underneath body 1 to move body 1 towards user-inputted location, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 monitors presence of water and direction of water flow, a motorized gate 4 opens for dispensing of L- shaped units 5, two rollers 8 arranged underneath each L- shaped units 5 to move rollers 8 for arranging sequent to act as a water barrier, a flow rate sensor integrated on L- shaped units 5 for monitoring rate of water flow and accordingly an extendable plate arrangement 7 get extended/retracted for diverting flow of water in a required manner."
