MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024872 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'water transportation and storage device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a water transportation and storage device, comprising a platform 1 associated with the device developed to be positioned on a bank of a water body manually by a user, plurality of suction cups 2 for securely gripping ground surface of the bank, telescopic rod 3 to extend and position a plate 4 in proximity to the surface for successfully gripping the surface with an optimum amount of force, switch pressed by the user for actuation of a toggle weight 7 via a guide rail 8, crank lever arrangement 9 to push the weight 7 for accumulation of water via a hemispherical body 10, resulting in dispensing the water on a storage unit 11 due to the seesaw movement of the piper over the fulcrum 6, artificial intelligence based image capturing module 12 to determine presence of any living organisms within the accumulated water."
