MUMBAI, India, July 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511061365 A) filed by Mr Kiran Krishnan; Dr Raja Varma Pamba; Ms Pinan; Mr Hariharasudhan Ravichandran; Mr Sven Justin Dsouza; Mr Abijith Melveettil Reji; and Mr Mohammed Riyad Mohammed Abdul Mannan, Kasaragod, Kerala, on June 27, for 'wearable ai-based navigation system for visually impaired.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to wearable AI-based navigation system (100) for visually impaired. The system (100), comprises a Smart Cap (101) and a plurality of wristband (110) operating in wireless coordination. The Smart Cap (101) includes a plurality of 360-degree camera (102), configured to capture panoramic video data of the user's surroundings. The edge AI processing module (103), configured to receive image frames from 360-degree camera (102), execute a algorithm, and generate labeled bounding boxes for detected objects. The AI voice assistant (104) is capable of receiving voice commands and delivering contextual audio-based feedback to the user. The plurality of wristband (110) features a processing unit (111) and a plurality of vibration motor (112) arranged circumferentially around the plurality of wristband (110), configured to provide directional and intensity-based haptic feedback to the user based on the proximity and direction of the detected objects."
