MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017916 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'wearable animal protection device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable animal protection device, comprises of a wearable suit 1 worn by a pet animal having sleeves 2 that is accessed by the animal for wearing the suit 1, an ultrasonic sensor integrated on the suit 1 in proximity to the sleeves 2 for determining dimensions of the animal's limbs, motorized rollers 4 ranging from 4 to 6 in numbers arranged horizontally and vertically on the suit 1 and engaged with portions of fabric of the suit 1, a temperature sensor integrated on the suit 1 for monitoring surrounding temperature, multiple motorized iris lids 5 integrated on the suit 1 to get opened/closed for enabling perspiration rate and optimum temperature for the animal, and UV (ultraviolet) lamp 6 installed within the suit 1 to get illuminated in order to disinfect the suit 1, only in case the suit 1 is not worn on the animal's body."
