MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025456 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'wearable hair edges trimming device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable hair edges trimming device, comprising a wearable body 1 developed to be positioned on a parietal ridge of a user's head portion, an artificial intelligence 2 enabled image capturing module to evaluate dimension of user's head, a motorized roller 7 is coiled with a rubberized strap 8 that is being uncoiled upon rotation of said roller 7, a motorized scissor 4 configured on a motorized primary slider 3 laid on body 1 to simultaneously translate and cut down exceeded part of hair, a secondary motorized slider sandwiched in between plate 6 and frame for providing a vertical movement to body 1, electromagnetic locks 5 for locking strap 8 with one another."
