MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017503 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 11, 2024, for 'wearable health monitoring and safety assistance device.'
Inventor(s) include Apoorva Sharma; Sartajvir Singh; Ravneet Kaur; and Srinibas Pattanaik.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable health monitoring and safety assistance device, comprises of a wearable body 1 accommodated over an arm of a user configured with primary touch enabled screens 4 to fetch a dedicated health parameter of the user, a health monitoring sensor 5 installed underneath the primary screens 4 to detect different health parameters of the user which is displayed over the primary screen 4, a secondary touch enabled screen 10 installed on the body 1 is pressed by the user to activate a GPS (Global Positioning System) module for fetching location co-ordinates of the user and a communication module to send alert over a computing unit of user's relative for providing aid to the user."
