MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024043 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'wearable neck injury and trauma preventing device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Nilesh Suresh Dalvi; and Dr. Febin Joy.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wearable neck injury and trauma preventing device, comprising a U-shaped body 1 developed to be accommodated over neck portion of a user while playing a sport, a strap 2 configured with the body 1 for securing the body 1 with the user's neck portion, a motorized roller 3 configured with the strap 2 to rotate for wrapping the strap 2 in view of gripping the body 1 with the user's neck portion, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 mounted on the body 1 for detecting location of the user with other individual during the sport and plurality of pneumatic blocks 5 installed on the body 1 to extend for applying a pre-set pressure on veins to prevent rush of blood through the veins, thus preventing the user from fainting or experiencing trauma."
