MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020690 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 19, 2024, for 'wearable patient monitoring system.'

Inventor(s) include Manisha Rastogi; Lomas Tomar; Jayanand; and Alpana Joshi.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a wearable patient monitoring system, comprising a wearable body 1 integrated with a latch 2 to be worn by a user over wrist portion, a first computing unit associated with system to for enabling user's input details, a second computing unit associated with system accessed by a medical practitioner, a first sensing module 3 installed on body 1 for detecting type of beverage consumed along with a blood oxygen level of the user, a second sensing module 4 mapped on body 1 for detecting presence of rain along with intensity of sunlight in vicinity of the user, an imaging unit 5 mounted on body 1 for determining swelling of the user's body 1 and a vibration unit 6 mapped on body 1 for generating vibrations regarding the detected swelling."
