MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511133187 A) filed by Rayat Bahra University; Bahra University; and Rayat Bahra Professional University, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 29, 2025, for 'weather adaptive safe egress system for vehicles.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A weather adaptive safe egress system for vehicles, comprises of a carrier frame 101, a camera 103 mounted on an extendable arm 104 with a motorized gimbal head at a center of the carrier frame 101 for providing 360-degree monitoring of occupants entering or exiting the vehicle and surrounding environment, a plurality of radar-based sensor for detecting occupant movement toward doors, a rain protection arrangement to protect the occupant(s) from rain, a retractable stepway arrangement to a safe pathway for occupants stepping out of the vehicle over slippery or water-accumulated surfaces, a plurality of compartments 111 for storing specific amounts of corrective material, the compartments 112 integrated with motorized iris holes for controlled release of the materials, a suction pump 112 with motorized conduits 113 and a storage chamber to remove accumulated safe water from the vicinity of vehicle doors."
