MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024026 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 26, 2024, for 'wet cloth squeezing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wet cloth squeezing device, comprising a hollow cylindrical shaped body 1 associated with device developed to be positioned on a surface, plurality suction cups 2 installed beneath body 1 for securely gripping surface, an ultrasonic sensor integrated within body 1 for determining height of a user, plurality of telescopic rods 3 for extending to position body 1 as per user's height, an artificial intelligence based image capturing module 4 for capturing multiple images of inner surroundings of the body 1, plurality of telescopic clippers 5 arranged within front and back portion of the body 1 for extending and gripping the cloth firmly, a primary and secondary slider 6 arranged in between inner periphery of the portions and clippers 5 to rotate in opposite to each other for rotating the clippers 5 in opposite direction, a cavity for allowing the drained water to get accumulated within chamber 7."
