MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010762 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 15, 2024, for 'wheel installation assistive device for four-wheeler.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wheel installation assistive device for four-wheeler, comprising an extendable elongated body 1 having a first and second end, herein the first end is attached with handle 2 to be gripped by user and second end is configured with disc 3 that is to be inserted in lug hole of wheel, an ultrasonic sensor detects distance of body 1 from ground surface, a C-shaped member 4 via a telescopically operated rod 5 to extend for positioning member 4 over ground surface to support body 1, a camera 6 mounted on body 1 for detecting diameter of lug hole, an expandable pulley 7 arrangement configured with disc 3 for increasing/decreasing diameter of disc 3 for engaging member 4 in lug hole in a secured manner and a motorized plate 8 to align one of lug hole of wheel with bolt installed with assembly."
