MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087701 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'wire stripping assistive device.'

The application for the patent was published on June 27, under issue no. 26/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wire stripping assistive device, comprising a curved-shaped body 1 installed with a pair of C-shaped members 2, a circular unit 3 crafted with plurality of slots 4 of different dimensions, each marked with a specific number, and a wire to be stripped is placed on slot 4, a camera 5 mounted on unit 3 for detecting number marked over slot 4, a pair of electromagnetic springs 6 configured between body 1 and members 2 compress/expand to create a groove between body 1 and members 2 to accommodate wire, a blade 7 installed with members 2 via a motorized hinge for positioning wire within groove, a robotic gripper 8 installed with one of member 2 for pulling wire in order to strip wire, a tactile sensor mapped on blade 7 for detecting hardness of wire, a pressure sensor configured with blade 7 for detecting pressure applied by blade 7."
