MUMBAI, India, June 27 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202341087702 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'wooden floor assembling assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wooden floor assembling assistive device, comprising a body 1 associated with device positioned over a ground surface, a screw 2 is attached with body 1 via a motorized scotch yoke arrangement 3 which upon pressing a button 4 mounted over body 1 to fasten screw 2 to grip ground surface and body 1, an artificial intelligence based camera 5 mounted for detecting positioning of body 1 with respect to a wooden plank, a first plate 6 attached with body 1 via a motorized gear rack arrangement 7 plate 6 for exerting a force over wooden plank, a LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) sensor to determine dimension of plank, multiple motorized sliders 8 to move flaps 9 for expanding/contracting size and a second plate 10 paired with gear rack arrangement 7 for moving plates 6, 10 apart from each other to eliminate gap in between consecutive planks."
